@LornaGamberini We have been running a 7 day service for just over a year, luckily it was supported with a staffing uplift. Our response time has significantly improved and our patients spend less time NBM. Friday afternoons are much less stressful. Happy to chat more!
We started the day with Journal Club- great choice of article which sparked an interesting discussion. Followed by Secret Appraisals 🕵🏻 - we anonymously wrote 3 things that we admired in our colleagues. Things we would probably never say about ourselves! #impostersyndrome
Exciting day for the team, first trial of @BiozoonUK with a patient who has been nil by mouth for six months. We are so pleased to be able to offer this to our patients, all thanks to the wonderful @CentreSouthwest and @PlymHospCharity#rehablegends
Our Continuing Care #SLT team ran an open lecture about how we use flavoured foam to enhance quality of life for some patients @RHNuk with chronic, severe dysphagia. If you weren't in the lucky 500 who attended, the lecture will soon be available on our YT https://t.co/EbnAOAuaXs
The RCSLT #tracheostomy competency framework is now open for review and we value your feedback.

Great first day raising awareness about the patient safety alert for the term ‘soft diet’ and training staff about IDDSI levels. Look out for our posters above the water coolers 😁 @emma_scurrahSLT @RCSLTLearn @HCS_Sheffield @SFHFT#IDDSI#mysltday
Heard my gym analogy for #aphasia services? ICAPs = boot camps, classes = groups, personal trainers = Individual Tx, machines = apps, own program = self management; coffee after = social group. Wish we had aphasia gyms. 💪🗣
Fantastic CPD session with the SLT team @UHP_NHS today. Together we used podcasts, systematic reviews, case studies and You Tube to share knowledge and reflect on our service provision. Topics ranged from ACV to language recovery post stroke #lifelonglearning#teamwork
Today over 80 organisations are writing to @BorisJohnson@10DowningStreet calling on the Govt to act now to build back better with people who have communication & swallowing needs. You can read the letter & accompanying policy statement here: https://t.co/D73p6JBVdN
@StrokeRehabPlym Today on Wembury ward our very talented Debbie Howard (#teamphysio) has designed and produced this fantastic inspirational board. Using feedback from previous patients to help and inspire current ones. Great work Debs 👍
