Feminist, activist, entrepreneur, law student, runner, CSA survivor and co-founder of @Survivors_Speak.
Views all my own and I'm not sorry about any of them.
Proud beyond words to receive my law degree this week. It was tough but I worked v hard for it so I'm allowed a brief #humblebrag. Commendation awarded no less. Not bad for a girl who got pregnant at 16 and didn't finish school. #DreamBig#aimhigh#WorkHard#AnythingIsPossible
The bravery of Gisele Pelicot continues to astonish me.
Today, her husband Dominique Pelicot finally admitted in court that he was a rapist.
She was applauded as she left court. https://t.co/Mbf8FmAR4r
My fave news story of the weekend. Always believe your goal is achievable, and dont give up until you achieve it - what an inspiration @JasminKParis is.
Absolutely salute Jasmin Paris, first woman to finish the Barkley Marathon. This is one of the greatest sporting achievements ever. The whole running community salutes you Jasmine Paris #legend#running#barkleymarathons#motivation
Once there were public libraries, youth clubs, swimming baths, Social Housing, NHS Dentists, Same day GP's, free milk in schools & free school dinners, and even lower taxes.
Now all we have is Privatisation, outrageous profits, 173 billionaires and no Public Services.
I'm a woman with a stressful job and too many other commitments. I don't get much downtime. When I do, a bit of fresh air & exercise is the best way I know to de-stress. Had a brilliant 3 hour hill walk today and I am ready for the week ahead! #MondayMotivation#livingmybestlife
The Victims’ code is toothless and unenforceable, leaving victims as passive bystanders in our justice system. The #VictimsBill was a chance to rectify this but it falls short of delivering any real change. Govt must accept our amendments if this Bill is going to work for victims
One year on since final IICSA report was published.Thousands of survivors contributed. It cost £188m & took 8 years. Govt action? Just more consultations. Govt must use #victimsbill to drive forward critical changes to protect & support CSA victims https://t.co/mfYmriDQuW
Proud does not even begin to cover how I feel today.
Me & @sooziverse & @Shirley won't ever get justice for what happened to us, but we've made a difference to the countless women of #Scotland who will now have their own chance of justice. It feels like an epic achievement ❤️🏴⚖️
Sharing this again because it might be the Lord Advocate's name on today's judgment but the hard work was ours. 5 years of campaigning & building consensus kept corroboration on the agenda, and today our blood, sweat and tears paid off. We are so very proud, and a bit emotional!!
My first @FiLiA_charity conference and I had THE BEST time! @sooziverse and I both grateful for the opportunity to talk about @Survivors_Speak campaign, and to meet so many inspiring women. Very proud of our contribution to #FiLiA2023, and to be part of such an amazing network 💜
An absolute privilege & pleasure to be invited to speak at #FiLiA2023! We loved every minute, met some amazing women, made new friends and got a great response to our talk. Thanks @FiLiA_charity for giving us the opportunity to talk about corroboration and the need for reform 🏴
Welcome these comments, but surely the question that should also be asked is why the first minister isn’t aware of a major feminist meeting that includes a UN special rapporteur on the violence against women and girls, that is taking place in his home city.
We are a women-led grassroots feminist organisation, fuelled by a team of volunteers – a monthly contribution will make a difference.

Excited to confirm we will be appearing at the @FiLiA_charity conference in October to talk about our campaign for reform of #corroboration, why access to justice is so important for victims of #VAWG and what we're doing to change things. Come along to support us if you can! 🏴⚖
The unity displayed by the members of the Spanish national team both on the field and off is to be applauded.
Voices joined together are harder to ignore, and their bravery sets the standard for others to follow. https://t.co/TlAAksGnF1
Watching Suella Braverman on @BBCBreakfast and reminded of the days when my kids got caught doing something they knew perfectly well was wrong but then concocted an increasingly far-fetched story to get off the hook. Genuinely unbelievable how detached from reality she is.
The Prime Minister’s rabid support for defunding criminal justice means that rape cases now wait five years for a trial.
We don’t have enough courts, judges, lawyers or staff. Record backlogs, record delays. Lives on hold for years.
Public safety a top priority? Prove it.
We now love the Spanish women’s football World Cup champions - go gals! Spain’s World Cup stars refuse to play until Luis Rubiales steps down
