@Becky_Padovani I’m not a rishi fan but I do agree there are a lot of people on benefits with mental health issues that actually work could help them. I had ptsd and work saved me
@mrsKopinions1@DaveS3376 @ianadamson115 @MartinSLewis@hmtreasury I have been working with people with anxiety and other mental health issues claiming pip when working is actually so much better for their mental health, it’s a lovely to see with one of my own employees. Benefits should be supporting those who need it
@littlun51@karren_brady@TheSun @PregnantScrewed I worked full time at 17 years from 7 - 7 I was driven my family struggled to much. I don’t resent others if you want something you go for it and once I had my children providing for them was number 1 priority not expecting others to pay for them
@littlun51@karren_brady@TheSun @PregnantScrewed 🙄 ok I was born and raised in a council estate in Tottenham. I was bought up to work hard I just don’t expect other people to pay for me and my family. I agree with you there needs to be more support for working mums. I started from the bottom.
@littlun51@karren_brady@TheSun I agree and if I had the choice I would not have worked until they started nursery because financially as you say it’s not affordable. But I disagree I wasn’t lucky, I worked hard and made sacrifices to put myself in that situation
@littlun51@karren_brady@TheSun I appreciate that but no, I don’t think that way. I choose to have my children and I am responsible for them. And I am proud that I have provided for them ❤️
@Sarahxxxxz@karren_brady@TheSun I don’t think that’s fair, but I am sure that’s what some on benefits able and not working would tell you. It’s a excuse. I agree minimum living wage should be higher but everyone needs to contribute
@MariaStein4321@karren_brady@TheSun It’s a shame but maybe at school by helping youngsters build resilience in the workplace and by facing fears they can work through poor management of have the confidence to find another job etc
@littlun51@karren_brady@TheSun It was that or lose my home. my son was 6 weeks old. I sold everything I didn’t need so I could have extra money for the basics there were no luxuries. I have to be honest I am quite proud and I don’t want anyone else paying for my children. They are my responsibility
@karren_brady@TheSun Maybe it needs to start from school age about working. Pushing through anxiety facing fears as a employer I have seen many people scared to go into the workplace. One of my employees started anxious and then given a bit of responsibility is now flourishing confidence has grown
@littlun51@karren_brady@TheSun We don’t have the money to help anymore here. I went full time when my child was 3. Until then I just had to make major financial changes but was worth it. I did work from home but not easy when they are under 3! I think flexibility from employers could help
@PenderynDic @Joec0de @GeorgieERobbins@MartinSLewis I actually read the sun 😊 look I am not attacking you at all, it’s the many people claiming benefits that could be working, and actually happier as proved with my young employee mental health
@Dawn117147265 And the other problem is people on disability for ANXIETY and PTSD both I have had and were hard to work through but work was my only saviour during these times!! These do not warrant benefits
@PenderynDic @Joec0de @GeorgieERobbins@MartinSLewis I had a young lad in my office I took on the kickstart scheme he was crying nearly everyday, 21 years old with ADHD. I reassured him he could trust me, gave him responsibility in the work place. He is such a confident man I can’t believe how far he has come
