Surviving critical illness is only the beginning for those who are treated in intensive care, so we need a rapid expansion of the provision of patient rehabilitation services to help patients return to life before critical illness.

Should #delirium be regarded only as "all-cause delirium"?
No.
In this paper, "we suggest that delirium research needs to evaluate the relationship b/t distinct clinical phenotypes & the discrete pathophysiological pathways underlying them."

The new NHS workforce plan, a 🧵
I’ve been an NHS doctor for almost twenty years, a senior lecturer at two universities, I teach and train medical/nursing/pharmacy/paramedic/PA students, and a GP trainer for almost a decade
Shoutout to everyone else who today is having to suddenly relive reality of life inside hospital in Dec 2020. Now with added anger and hurt.
Still, at least they’ve not been systematically underfunding the NHS workforce since… oh wait, no - yes you’re right, this is shit
Nurses and other NHS staff have seen their pay increase by around 20% since 2010 - well below inflation.
Conservative MPs have seen their pay increase by 32% over the same period.
Please RT if you agree NHS staff deserve so much better from this Government.
Everything they are doing to the NHS they did to British Rail.
Underfunded it, exhausted the service, got the public angry, and then said privatisation is the solution.
Please RT if you won’t fall for it.
Where are all the physio staff?
We're calling for the government to urgently address recruitment and retention of physiotherapy staff in the workforce plan.
Value physiotherapy staff.

People aren't waiting 40 hours for an ambulance because of a one-day strike by paramedics. They're waiting 40 hours for an ambulance because the Tories running down the NHS, week in, week out.
