@LindseyOberk (1/2) Even if schools do offer ethnic studies classes, I believe it is important to incorporate aspects of these classes within ALL classes. That can be done through representation of every students culture in homework problems, posters around the room, studies of every cultures

@CassidytotheRay I plan to support multiculturalism in my classroom by using inclusive examples for whatever subject I teacher as well as posters, etc. I will also teach my students about all cultures and make sure that every student feels represented and appreciated.

@madisonbarkley3 As we talked about in class, teachers may shut the door upon the beginning of the class day or period. Not for selfish reasons, but because their they have a lot of students or for other reasons. Sadly, dealing with trauma may be a second thought. (2/2)

@madisonbarkley3 Obviously I can't speak for every teacher, but I personally think that maybe teachers looks at the day as having only a certain amount of hours for teaching. Similarly, in high school, teachers may only have 3-4 hours with students a week. (1/2)

@logansmithh19 I believe that without acknowledgment there is no room to grow. Without room to grow, there is no room to heal. If someone cannot accept the things that have caused pain in the past there is no way to successfully move forward because that is like invalidating ones feelings.
