Lagos to Onitsha is trending because GUO motors is claiming that their bus that was attacked by kidnappers at Ore-Benin was empty.

On Sunday afternoon gunmen ambushed and opened fire on a GUO bus in Edo, klling the driver, abducting passengers and later demanding ₦50M ransome for each person’s freedom.

Today, Godwin Ubaka Okeke motors released a statement labelling it as Armed Robbery attack, which unfortunately took the life of the driver, who was supposedly driving an empty dispatched bus from Lagos to Onitsha.

Nigerians are questioning the possibility of a transport bus to be dispatched from Lagos to Onitsha, Anambra — Empty.

Many consider the statement highly insensitive as it didn’t regard the kidnapped victims, only commiserating with the late driver’s family.

However in fairness, they meant that the driver illegally carried passengers, when he was directed to take the bus to their park Onitsha park. But the tone and insensitivity the message was conveyed has triggered the outrage.
