Today was the last day of our new QI Masters training. Well done to all those that reported out. It was great to hear what people had learnt and your examples of applying the method. Leading for improvement is key to us further embedding an improvement culture @mpftnhs.

17 Sept is #WorldPatientSafetyDay, with the theme ‘engaging patients for patient safety’. We will be sharing a range of content this week, highlighting the importance of this, and how the NHS is working in partnership with patients, families and carers to make care safer.

We can not have patient experience without staff experience, we can not have patient safety without staff safety. My words from Wednesday sitting heavy today. My heart goes out to all the parents, babies, families and the staff who fought to raise concerns. This has to change.

Great example of why patients, families & staff need to be involved in co-producing the design & delivery of healthcare. Contradictory policies ➡️moral injury as staff fear being blamed. We need a culture of psychological safety so people can safely speak up & make improvements
