@SenatorWong@NazaninBoniadi@SydPeaceFound Dear Senator,
We appreciate your attention on Iranian people! But do you know that too many Iranian Phd students including Iranian girls like @NazaninBoniadi are waiting for more than months and years for a student visa to entry Australia? We expect your attention at this moment!
Visa delays for international research students have caused huge damage to Australian universities. The impact can be seen in @timeshighered latest ranking with top Australian universities losing up to 23 points (@adelaideuni). Time to think seriously

Almost 300 Iranian PhD students are waiting on average a year without any response on their student visa applications, after receiving scholarships to Australian universities. Academics warn we risk losing out on crucial research.

Visa delays in the Australian Postgraduate research sector are hindering researchers' careers and aspirations. Several students have awaited visa grants since last year and are still waiting. Support from @Zhchaudhri in Australia is sought to address this pressing issue.
I have been waiting for the visa for 9 months and the University of Queensland has extended my offer for only 2 more months. It's very, very unfair for me to lose my offer. We ask the Australian academic community to support us.

Dear @PhilHoneywood, many intl PhD students, especially from Iran, are stuck in visa processing. It's really unfair to be kept waiting for > 1y for a 3.5y temporary visa. I've been waiting for more than 19 months. Plz help us raise our voice before losing our scholarships.
@HEPAdelaide We appreciate your support. It is unfair to be in #limbo for 26 months. The important thing is that they could have finalized student visa applications in a quite rational time frame. How can one's application be assessed for years? @ClareONeilMP@andrewjgiles@SenatorWong@dfat
@HEPAdelaide Thank you for your support. We were extremely excited to begin our PhD projects at AU, fueled by a strong sense of passion and enthusiasm. This unforeseen delays have dampened our spirits and caused us to reconsider our options.
@SenatorWong@andrewjgiles@ClareONeilMP
@HEPAdelaide Thank you so much for mentioning our story. Unfortunately, over 100 PhD students are stuck in this broken system. It's disheartening and depressing just sit and see our hard-earned scholarships may be lost. 19 months must be million times enough to give me my visa.@ClareONeilMP
@HEPAdelaide Dear Professor Jackson, Thank you for your kind support. We have been waiting for months for a temporary student visa, and this unfair process is affecting our future.
@ClareONeilMP@andrewjgiles@SenatorWong
@HEPAdelaide ⏳ Unacceptable wait: Our dreams are on hold! Iranian Ph.D. students like me are still waiting for temporary student visas after 12+ months. We deserve clarity and a resolution. @AusHomeAffairs@ClareONeilMP@SenatorWong @andrewjgilesocess PLZ expedite the visa process!
