Senegal is becoming a perfect case study of what happens when revolutionary politics finally meets the realities of governing.
It’s easy to unite people against a system.
It’s much harder to run the economy, negotiate debt, satisfy voters and still maintain the purity of the movement.
A lot of liberation-style movements in Africa struggle once they transition from opposition to government because charisma and slogans eventually collide with budgets, IMF pressure and state institutions.
That’s exactly what we’re watching in Senegal right now.
The Turkana Jet gets so strong in the next 7 days such that wind gusts may breach 110KM per hour.
Those who drive along the Marsabit-Moyale route will experience some crazy cross winds that could possibly make a car to wobble.
The jet passes through the Turkana channel between Kenya and Ethiopia, making Marsabit the windiest county in KE.

Based on the most recent 2025 data, Meru is officially ranked as the Number 2 Milk Producing County in Kenya.
1. Kiambu: Still leads at number 1. This is due to the highest concentration of high-yield breeds and massive processing hubs like Githunguri.
2. Meru: At number 2, has overtaken Nyandarua in daily formal milk collection.
3. Nyandarua.
4. Nyeri.
5. Nakuru / Uasin Gishu: Tied at number 5.
Meru has production has risen so high due to the sheer volume being handled by the Meru Dairy Cooperative Union (MDCU).
This modern Meru success can be attributed to the following:-
Commercial Power: Meru now handles one-third (1/3) of all formal dairy in Kenya. That is a massive economic footprint for a single county.
Youth Involvement: Over 35,000 young farmers participated in the 10th Annual Dairy Field Day in June 2025. Farming in Meru is no longer seen as a "fallback" but as a tech-driven business.
The 1 Million Goal: The county is currently on a "Race to a Million," aiming to process 1,000,000 litres daily. If they hit this, Meru could realistically challenge Kiambu for the number 1 spot by 2027.
