MERCY TUESDAY
(2 Thessalonians 2:16–17)

May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father… encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and word.

Prayer for Mercy:
Merciful Father, on this Mercy Tuesday, I place before You the work of my hands, my dreams, plans, and everything I am labouring to build.

Lord, establish the work of my hands. I have worked, prayed, waited, tried, and sometimes wondered when my efforts would finally bear fruit. By Your mercy, may my labour not be wasted. May Your favour speak for me in rooms where I am not present. Connect me with people who will recognise what You have placed within me. May grace create opportunities that qualifications, connections, money, or human effort alone could never secure.

I believe that one moment of Your favour can change years of struggle. Establish me, strengthen me, and make the work of my hands a testimony of Your mercy.

Jesus, I trust in You.

A Protestant Woman Went Viral After Explaining Why She Started Praying the Rosary

Instagram creator Sarah Giles recently shared something that caught a lot of attention: why she, as a Protestant, started praying the Rosary.

Since then, she has continued learning more about the Catholic Church and what Catholics actually believe.

In her video, Giles directly addresses some of the accusations Protestants sometimes make about the Rosary, including claims that it is “demonic, satanic, or a form of idolatry.”

She rejects those claims completely.

“None of those are true, and quite frankly, we sound a little bit uneducated when we say those things,” Giles says. “I know this because that’s how I sounded when I first started learning about the rosary.”

That honesty is important.

Sometimes the things we criticize most strongly are the things we have never actually taken the time to understand.

Giles encourages people to approach the Rosary with humility, to open their “hearts and minds,” and to “do your research.”

She then explains what the Rosary is really centered on.

“This tool is used to meditate on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. It’s used to meditate on specific mysteries — whether the Sorrowful Mysteries or the Glorious Mysteries — to place yourself at the scene, or to look through the eyes of the people who were there and meditate on that,” she explains.

And that is something many people misunderstand about the Rosary.

The prayers may repeat, but the purpose is not empty repetition. The Rosary draws the mind back again and again to Jesus Christ and the mysteries of His life, Passion, death, and Resurrection.

For Giles, it has also changed her personal prayer life.

She says praying the Rosary has brought her closer to God and even describes it as feeling like a spiritual weapon.

“Even when I wore this for two days after I started praying the rosary, I felt like I had a weapon with me. Not because of what this is, but because of what God is doing through it.”

That distinction matters.

Catholics do not believe beads themselves have magical power. The Rosary is a prayer. Its power comes from God, and its purpose is to lead us deeper into the life of Christ.

Giles ends by asking people not to judge something they have never seriously studied.

“This is so powerful, and I would encourage you: if you haven’t researched for yourself what Catholics or Orthodox actually believe about the rosary, look into it before you form a prejudice,” she says.

“And even just try it with an open heart. See what the Lord has to tell you about it.”

Let us pray that more Catholics rediscover the Rosary, and that more non-Catholics are willing to learn what it actually is before dismissing it.

The Rosary has led countless souls to meditate more deeply on Jesus, Scripture, repentance, suffering, hope, and eternal life.

The Miracle Prayer

Lord, Jesus, I come before You, just as I am.

Today we celebrate the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which means that at the end of her life, Mary was taken into heaven, body and soul. Declared a dogma in 1950 by Pope Pius XII.
Jesus, in the Ascension, went up to heaven by His own divine power (Acts 1:9), while Mary, in the Assumption, was taken up to heaven by God’s power, as a gift of His grace (Rev. 12:1).

From her Immaculate Conception, preserved from original sin, to the virginal conception of Jesus by the Holy Spirit, Mary’s life was marked by God’s extraordinary grace. These divine events found their perfect completion in her Assumption, where she, free from sin and full of grace, was welcomed into heaven, body and soul.

Mary’s life was full of faith, trust, and love for God—from saying “yes” to the angel, to standing at the cross, to rejoicing in the resurrection. She shared in Jesus’ victory over death and now enjoys the fullness of His promise. Her Assumption is a sign of hope for us: one day, we too will be raised to eternal life with Christ.

God created the world out of nothing (Genesis 1:1), nothing is impossible for Him (Luke 1:37). Just as Enoch “walked with God, and was no more” (Genesis 5:24) and Elijah “was taken up to heaven in a whirlwind” (2 Kings 2:11), so too Mary was taken into glory.
Scripture hints at this mystery in Revelation 12:1, portraying “a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars”, a vision the Church sees as Mary in heavenly glory.

Let us trust God as Mary did, knowing nothing is impossible for Him, and live each day in faith until we share in His glory.

Day 6 – OPEN DOORS.

Some doors have remained closed for too long. Some opportunities have been delayed, and some prayers seem to be waiting for their appointed time. Today, through the intercession of Our Lady, Mother of Perpetual Help, we ask Jesus to open every door ordained by God for our lives.

And when the opportunities come, may we be ready to recognise them, embrace them and sustain them. May we not miss what we have prayed for.

Where our strength cannot take us, may grace speak for us. Where our names have been forgotten, may divine remembrance locate us.

“See, I have set before you an open door that no one can shut.” – Rev. 3:8
