Smartest idea I've heard in a long time.

Give every baby a bank account with £7000 when they are born. They can't touch the money, the money is invested in an index fund, it compounds, no tax, by the time the baby is 65, they're a millionaire.

I'm from Bradford with family of Indian and Pakistan descent. It was not uncommon to hear someone say, "nip down the Paki shop", in the same way one might say "nip down the chinky" with absolutely no racial malice.

Both are majorly offensive now

The ref missed this decision in real time and if he was at a slightly different angle he might have seen the Rice rugby tackle, giving a penalty.

Yes it takes a few minutes but surely the right decision matters.

It's defo a foul on the keeper, he has his arm across his throat holding on to this other arm.

It's also, a rugby tackle by Rice.

Being off the ball doesn't make it less of a foul.

Looks like on balance they got it right.

There's a big difference between:

A winger who supports the defence

AND

A defender who attacks.

They are two very different roles. Bale can and did play all of them at the highest levels.
