I joined Connecticut Attorney General William Tong to announce a lawsuit filed by 25 states and the District of Columbia over the Trump administrationโs refusal to release almost $6 billion in emergency funds so that families wonโt see their SNAP benefits interrupted starting November 1st. I am grateful to live in a state that fights for our residents at every level.
Hunger isnโt inevitable. Itโs a policy choice.
There is no reason for November SNAP benefits to be delayed. @USDA and @SecRollins have the authority to act and prevent hunger. The time to use it is now.
๐จ Good news: You can still use existing SNAP benefits after Nov 1! USDA confirmed carryover benefits remain accessible during the shutdown.
