I often remind our young athletes and parents that the overwhelming majority of our clients won't go on to make life-changing money playing professional sports, but that all of them can learn a ton of life lessons in the gym and leverage their time at @CresseySP to foster a favorable long-term relationship with exercise. I'm not sure there's a better CSP client example than @SahilBloom, who was a #CSPFamily OG; he was there the day we opened in 2007.
From day one, he was insanely locked in with his preparation. Every rep was tracked, and at a time when he could have been content to be the big fish in a small pond of Massachusetts baseball players, he didn't hesitate to jump into the deep end, training alongside pro players all through high school and college. He went on to pitch for (and captain) the Stanford Baseball team and earned his master's degree, then moved on to private equity and started his own venture capital fund on top of a collection of other shrewd investments. Sahil became a NY Times Best-Seller for "The 5 Types of Wealth," and recently started Wild Roman, a natural skincare company that's turning a lot of heads for all the right reasons. And, he's in heavy demand for speaking engagements.
All the while, Sahil still trains hard and regularly. I've often said that exercise is somewhat of a "North Star" for a lot of spouses/parents, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders. It teaches you to "embrace the suck" and work through challenging things. And, it's there for blowing off steam, celebrating when you're feeling good, and also kicking out endorphins to make you creative and fun to be around; the trickle-down effect of exercise is as much mental as it is physical.
Damn proud of you, buddy. Thanks for the morning lift - and 19 years of friendship.
Major life hack: Don't complain, ever. Nobody likes a complainer. They drain the energy of everyone around them. It's exhausting spending time around someone who constantly complains about things outside their control. If it’s within your control, go do something about it. If it’s not, you’re just wasting energy thinking about it. Complaining gives too much power to the thing. Take back that power.
Career advice nobody told you: You have to demonstrate excellence in everything you do. Your income scales proportional to the amount of excellence that you're able to demonstrate. Strategic incompetence is a lie. You don't get to pick and choose when to show up, because the world will ignore your best and judge you for your worst. Everything matters. Every single thing. Top performers show up with energy and enthusiasm for the little things just as much as they do for the big things. If you're in the top-10% of performers, there's no ceiling for what you can do. But the self-awareness to identify where you currently stack up, and adapt to the honest feedback on it, is very rare. If you're in the top-10%, you know it. If you're not, figure out why and fix it.
It took me 35 years to learn this: If you’re half-in, you’re actually all-out. Even 90% in gets you nowhere. There’s something magical in that last little bit. It's where you unlock new levels to the game. Simply because so few have the courage to do it.

@enda_king's pre-conference workshop on identifying and fixing legacy deficits after lower-limb tendon injury. Friday 27th March, 6-8 pm at the iconic Parc des Princes, home of PSG
You've cleared an athlete to return. Strength restored. Range normal. Pain-free. Six months later, the same injury recurs. Traditional rehab missed something.
Enda shows you how to profile tendon function, spot compensations, and close the gaps that cause re-injury. Real cases. Practical framework.

Don't come on here much anymore, but this is worth it.
All things bone stress injury latest Aspetar Journal here: https://t.co/5Q7VfW2pk0 always, free, open access, no catch etc.
1 highlight for me is Evan Jeanguyot's Return to running after bone stress injury in runners:
We’re kicking off the Sportsmith Injury Prevention & Rehabilitation Conference 2026 the right way.
@enda_king opens the weekend with a practical workshop on the deficits that don’t show up on clearance reports but continue to hold athletes back after lower-limb tendon injuries.
This session is about seeing what others miss. Profiling tendon function under real demands. Understanding whether the limiter is the tissue, the athlete, or the mechanics. And designing interventions that actually close the gap between rehab and performance.
Real cases. Clear frameworks. Better return-to-performance decisions.

A friend of mine used to say: “Show up on time, with a good attitude, and do what you said you’d do. That’s it. That’s 90% of winning in life." The older I get, the more I realize just how right he was.
