To all those who deny Christ ever existed even as a man, consider this:
A great many opponents of early Christianity wrote about how Christ was a fraud. The pagans, Romans, Jews, etc. all said that he was a magician, a trickster, false prophet. But none said he didn't exist. Why?
@kitakami20041 Fewer and fewer Americans agree with the dropping of the bombs as time passes. You have to understand that several generations were indoctrinated to support whatever was done in the name of victory. People are less objective when they are in proximity to events.
@asmrchurch I disagree that Kant wrote novels, those are philosophy books. You ought to read those only if you're being educated about philosophy and have strong faith.
@asmrchurch Lord of the Rings is a novel, and it is inspiring to one's faith. All of the titles you mention have strange names that sound like the plot is likely perverse. Is that how novels are in Japan?
@jakuchusukosuko@saou0345 They used to create compelling stories. Nobody complains about Hideo Kojima's messaging in Metal Gear, because it is done competently in the narrative. Today, they lack creative talent, and have no elegance. They just shout their politics at you and demand obedience.
@pixie10ole@Sz73B I don't disagree with you, but that sort of mentality I think is driven partly by Marxist thinking in the first place, which is an innovation and not what I would call a traditional feature of European thought.
@kotamama318 In America, people will bump into you as a sort of test of your character or to antagonize you, to show a sort of dominance or something, sometimes. Because nobody is really going to use force to retaliate against that, it's a safe way to humiliate others.
@pixie10ole@Sz73B This seems like total ignorance of how it is in Europe, or European culture in general. European myth and folklore is absolutely full of horror stories about the untameable wilds.
@mina78chu I've picked up certain words and phrases in Japanese, I wouldn't be so arrogant as to say I have learned Japanese. The spoken language does seem more approachable than kanji, that seems like some forbidden secret art that I have stumbled upon, I better pretend I didn't see it.
@ossanworld In other words, you have a cultural sense that virtue should be pursued, which means people respect you and want to have you as their neighbor, because the alternative is someone who lacks virtue. Good morals = likable, we can be friends. Bad morals = unlikable, we are enemies.
@tibanojirotyou Hello. I can never seem to pinpoint the sentiment due to ideological and language differences. When the Japanese on X complain about foreigners, do they have a certain kind of foreigner in mind, or do they strictly want only Japanese ethnic people to be living in Japan?
@tt_ttaa41634614 They have lost their sense of self. Their very identities have fallen apart, and they face a spiritual collapse. Furthermore, their artificially elevated standard of living is unsustainable, so most Europeans aren't actually very well off.
