Another deal with a big headline number that could prove misleading, much like the $2 trillion in investment commitments announced by Middle Eastern countries.
Venezuela may have the world’s largest oil reserves, but there’s a reason much of that crude isn’t being produced today.
Given the heavy quality of Venezuelan crude, years of underinvestment and significant production constraints, access to those reserves certainly does not automatically translate into lower prices for U.S. consumers.

What do falling oil prices mean for African producers?
Deepwater costs, tight margins, weakened FX inflows and delayed projects are putting pressure on NOCs, IOCs and service firms across the continent.

Yeah exactly, oil has been in a clear monthly downtrend ever since that big top in 2022.
The monthly TSI has been falling non-stop for almost 3 years now – super clean bearish momentum.
Price keeps making lower highs and lower lows, no real bounce has broken the pattern.
Sitting right on the 4.5-year low zone… either it holds and we get a big surprise bounce, or it cracks and the pain continues. Simple as that. 😬📉
Why America Should Bet Big on the AP1000
• AP1000 reactors use fully passive safety systems that keep the plant cool for 72+ hours without AC power or operator action, ensuring resilience in blackout conditions
• Each unit generates ~1,200 MWe while requiring the smallest land footprint per MWe of any nuclear reactor, enabling high-density clean energy deployment
• Operating AP1000 units have set industry records for early-cycle output and exceptionally short refueling outages, boosting reliability and uptime
• Modular construction techniques shift work to factories, shorten schedules, and leverage lessons learned from 6 existing plants, reducing project risk for future builds
• Provides stable, carbon-free baseload power that strengthens U.S. grid reliability and supports deep decarbonization goals
Africa’s Nuclear Energy Ambitions Take Shape
African nations are accelerating plans to adopt nuclear power, aiming to boost energy security, diversify grids, and support industrial growth. From South Africa’s new reactors to emerging programs in Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, the continent is positioning nuclear as a cornerstone for clean, reliable, and scalable energy.

China's continued oil stockpiling is keeping the physical market very tight.
Energy Aspects subscribers were first alerted to China's stockbuilds in June. We identified high-frequency data points to as much as a 32 mb stockbuild in May, following a 38 mb build in April. This was before the new round of mandated SPR arrivals began. The mandate was allegedly for 140 mb from July 2025 to March 2026.
Our Crude Oil service delivers early insights on supply and demand, including detailed analysis of SPR, CPR, and tank storage. "We don’t see floating inventories rising, we don’t see a lot more medium-sour crude coming into the US Gulf Coast, which typically happens if there’s a lot of spare capacity,”
"“You look at the physical market, you don’t see that
playing itself out,” he said. “So there could be a collision
coming.”
“We’re all watching some of those kinds of signals
wondering: when is the bearishness going to kick in?”
“Is there going to be a big flood of supply — which we frankly don’t see? A lot of the OPEC+ increases were paper barrels, they were already in the market.”
