Kyle Haustveit

Under Secretary of @ENERGY

[Office of Electricity | U.S. Department of Energy @DOEelectricity]

.@EnergyUnderSec celebrating the Energy Department's investments made to Pennsylvania's electric grid that will lower costs for American families and businesses! 🇺🇸

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

Energy isn't just another sector of the economy — it's the foundation everything else is built on.

Here in Louisiana, Cheniere's Sabine Pass is helping lead America's LNG exports.

Under @POTUS, we're strengthening U.S. LNG leadership and advancing American energy dominance!

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

American Energy Dominance in action in the Gulf of America!

Great to tour Arena's offshore operations, where teams are producing approximately 50,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day across their operations.

American energy, powered by American workers.

[Drake Energy Forum @ForumDrake]

.@APIenergy's @mj_sommers asked U.S. @EnergyUnderSec: How important is American energy amid growing geopolitical risk?

The Secretary pointed to America’s shift from energy scarcity to energy abundance, including its rise as the world’s largest LNG exporter.

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

It was a privilege to speak at this year's Americas LNG Summit in Lake Charles, Louisiana!

The previous administration spent far too long holding back this vital industry. Thanks to @POTUS, we're advancing American Energy Dominance and expanding our LNG leadership.

[American Petroleum Institute @APIenergy]

API President & CEO @mj_sommers joined @EnergyUnderSec Kyle Haustveit at the birthplace of the modern oil industry today to discuss how permitting reform can help unleash the next generation of American energy leadership. @DrakeWellMuseum @ForumDrake

[Senator John Hoeven @SenJohnHoeven]

Held a press conference with @GovArmstrong, @EnergyUnderSec Kyle Haustveit, @NDPetroleum, and Chord Energy to outline the next phase of Crack the Code 2.0. Phase one is well underway, but we’re not going to stop there.

We’re bringing together industry partners to increase oil production by moving from individuals wells to EOR in a whole oil field, provide additional revenue streams for our coal producers, develop domestic sources of rare earth elements and increase fertilizer production. That’s a win-win-win-win.

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

For over a century, Chevron’s El Segundo Refinery has helped meet Southern California’s energy needs—processing up to 290,000 barrels of crude oil daily.

The facility’s scale, technology, and workforce demonstrate the foundation for affordable, reliable, and secure energy.

ICYMI: @EnergyUnderSec highlighted how President Trump is unleashing the American Nuclear Renaissance at the Texas Nuclear Alliance! 🇺🇸

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

Last week we had the chance to tour the West Gateway Terminal project in Oakland, California!

With 10M+ tons of annual capacity planned, this project will expand West Coast export infrastructure and strengthen American energy supply chains.

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

.@Calpine's Geysers Geothermal operations in California are the largest geothermal complex of their kind in the world.

Producing up to 725 MW of reliable, baseload power—enough to power roughly 725,000 homes, the Geysers are proof of what American energy innovation can deliver.

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

Alaska plays a critical role in America’s energy and national security.

@ENERGY is investing in ~223 miles of new transmission — strengthening grid reliability and lowering electricity costs for approximately 75% of Alaskans.

California’s Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant is a WIN for President Trump’s energy agenda.

@ENERGY is preventing the shutdown of this crucial facility, preserving nearly 10% of California’s power generation and thousands of high-paying American jobs.

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

@ENERGY is making investments to keep California's Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant running — unleashing reliable power, high-paying American jobs, and a stronger nuclear future.

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

.@ENERGY is helping keep California’s Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant online—protecting high-paying American jobs and helping shield Californians from higher electricity prices.

This is the only operating nuclear plant in CA and provides up to 10% of California’s electricity.

[Diablo Canyon Power Plant @DiabloCanyonCA]

Kyle Haustveit, @EnergyUnderSec of @ENERGY visited us at Diablo Canyon this week and got an up close and personal view of the plant during a tour led by Adam Peck, Site Vice President, and Maureen Zawalick, Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer.

[U.S. Department of Energy @ENERGY]

DOE is preventing the shutdown of a California nuclear power plant, which supplies ~10% of CA’s electricity⚡️

Keeping it online provides affordable and reliable power and helps prevent what would have been more electricity price increases in the state.

[Office of Nuclear Energy | US Department of Energy @GovNuclear]

.@EnergyUnderSec visited Diablo Canyon Power Plant in California to highlight @ENERGY’s recent credit payment to PG&E — supporting the nuclear power plant's extended operations to help meet California's growing demand for affordable, reliable, and secure electricity.

[Kyle Haustveit @EnergyUnderSec]

Honored to highlight @ENERGY’s SPARK initiative in Oklahoma City!

These investments will help lower electricity costs for approximately 100M Americans, add 23GW of additional capacity to modernize critical infrastructure, and expand our nation’s grid capacity.

[U.S. Department of Energy @ENERGY]

Yesterday, @EnergyUnderSec was in Oklahoma City highlighting @ENERGY’s SPARK Initiative — accelerating grid upgrades, adding more power to the system, and advancing @POTUS’ energy addition agenda. 🇺🇸⚡️
