i need opinions on how to structure a new venture - my partner guarantees POs (personally financing $100k in machines). I'm providing floorspace(owned), programming + running machines at the start, handling all business ops. what's a fair split?
@maahirpanchal my best guess is two cylinders for the inner and outer edge, then spline on surface (one per cylinder). Then a few profiles to guide, then a loft, then thicken, then add radii and then pattern. (?) @cadbitch
live update #3: i've fumbled the ball - ran out of a rare resin compound while trying to fill the order. now i'm calling everyone and their grandma to check stock. my best lead is a 3-day DHL from Italy 😳
Update: We did a little back and forth, and someone must have spec'd me in because now I'm getting those auto-RFQ emails, but they're no longer phishing scams.
@SkinnyfatTony Hell yeah. Love the inspo. My shop has been in the family for 30 years and now that I’m holding the reins, my greatest fear is not being able to pass it down to the next generation 👀
i won't disagree. i will say the more i use it, the more i use it - payroll, attendance, knowledge app, crm and my current favorite - the to-do list haha.
@10_X_eng@barbinbrad I’m on odoo and so is @jrhartman131 for me it’s taken about a year to really get the hang of it but if I need a customization I can vibe code it pretty quick. I feel like I’m going hardware -> software now
