We all love teaching, but we all need a good sense of humor to survive it. Follow for a daily laugh or a sarcastic jab; same difference. #teacherhoodishard
Today I had 4 kids asking me questions at the same time… not one stopped to consider that they were all asking me at the same time…
My response: I stared straight faced above their heads, walked away and completely ignored all of them.

Educators, enjoy your break. No books, no emails, no lists, no compliance. There’s plenty time for that but not today.
Today, reclaim your rest.
Reclaim your humanity.
Reclaim yourself.
@nic_piccirillo Good for you! I have too. I have just gotten so tired of hearing myself say how tired of it I was… then I stopped and said, “Wait. This isn’t my job time so why am I even saying this.” Then I stopped. And it isn’t perfect, but it does help!
You want to write lesson plans for YOUR classes, do it… but on paper, not a screen.
You want to pre-plan lesson idea, do it… but take notes on paper and complete during your paid time. Stop giving your time for free. Our jobs can’t help us with self-care, but WE CAN!
Huge teacher relief tactic: disconnect. That’s how teachers survived in the past. They weren’t connected 24/7… and students, admin, parents, everything still functioned.
So… Don’t talk about your job on breaks. Don’t look at emails. Don’t make up scenarios on future events.
There has never been a harder year as a teacher…
There has never been a year admin has been so oblivious to the hardships on their teachers…
We are not punching bags for everyone else’s “inconveniences.”
We have earned our years of wisdom.
Show us you trust us.
We are tired.
