Here's a handy vocabulary lesson.
The words "affect" and "effect" sound the same but are in fact different. In most cases:
affect = verb
effect = noun
For example:
🔸He was stressed but he did not let it affect him.
🔸He was stressed but it did not have an effect on him.
There are some limited cases in which "effect" can be a verb, too. That usually means "to effect change." It's quite uncommon though.
Here's some advice about collocations that include money verbs.
Note that with "save" there are other variants, such as "save (money) by (doing something that lowers your spending)."
✔️Come to/Be at a standstill
》Used to refer to any situation that has come to a halt, with no movement or progress.
▪︎ Negotiations are currently at a standstill.
▪︎ During the snowstorm the entire city came to a standstill.

》Used to refer to a person who is very observant and able to notice small details.
▪︎ The eagle-eyed editor spotted the typo immediately.
▪︎ Thanks to her eagle-eyed mother, the missing earring was finally found under the sofa.
