We thought these padlocks were among the strongest. If they can be opened without a key, then people need better security because many homes and businesses rely on them.
IMPUNITY: From Anita Among to Godson Mwesigye.
A video has surfaced of @URAuganda commissioner Godson Mwesigye brutalizing a civilian and ordering his military guards to shoot a civilian in Mukono. The army men on orders of Mwesigye then shot and injured two people
She’s dead! For them it’s just politics, for another family it is a loved one gone - just because she held a different political opinion! How do you expect others to feel your pain when you are directly killing their own! Can we ever have peace where we’ve inflicted such pointless permanent pain on others? Would you pretend to be angry when such innocent people you’ve harmed and hurt celebrate your own pain?
Have you ever noticed this on a baby's head? Let's talk about it.
Cradle cap (also called infant seborrheic dermatitis) is one of the most common skin conditions in babies.
It looks like yellowish, thick, oily, or flaky scales on the baby’s scalp.
Even though it looks stubborn, it is harmless and not painful for the baby.
✅ Why it Happens;
Cradle cap is not caused by dirt, poor hygiene, or infection. It's caused by;
1️⃣ Overactive Oil Glands; During pregnancy, mothers pass some hormones to the baby which can make the baby’s oil glands produce too much oil, causing flakes and scales.
2️⃣ Natural Skin Microbes; Babies have harmless yeast and bacteria on their scalp. Sometimes these mix with the extra oil and cause the scaly patches.
3️⃣ Sensitive Baby Skin
Baby skin is still developing and reacts easily to dryness, heat, or products.
❌ What NOT to Do
To avoid hurting the baby’s delicate skin:
• ❌ Don’t pick or peel the flakes
• ❌ Don’t scratch the scalp
• ❌ Don’t use harsh soaps or adult shampoos
• ❌ Don’t apply hot water, kerosene, spirit, or herbal mixtures
These can cause wounds or infections.
🧼 How to Treat Cradle Cap Safely at Home
1️⃣ Soften the Flakes
Rub a small amount of:
• Baby oil
• Coconut oil
• Petroleum jelly
Leave for 10–15 minutes.
2️⃣ Brush Gently
Use a soft baby brush or your fingertips to loosen and lift the flakes.
3️⃣ Wash With Mild Baby Shampoo
Rinse the scalp with warm water and mild shampoo to remove excess oil.
4️⃣ Repeat 2–3 Times a Week
Improvement usually shows within 1–2 weeks.
Seek medical help if:
• The skin is red, swollen, or oozing
• Baby seems uncomfortable
• Rash spreads to other parts of the body
• Home treatment is not helping
Doctors may prescribe a mild medicated shampoo or cream if needed.
Cradle cap is normal, common, and not dangerous.
With gentle care, most babies’ scalps clear up completely.💝
Patrick Kamara: Singh Katongole, why are there many contestants (10), for the Rubaga North seat?
Katongole: Many show interest when they think the incumbent is weak.
Kamara: Is that why we have 8 presidential candidates?
Katongole: I am talking about the parliamentary level.
