Reflecting on week 1 of #COP26 I noticed the most important thing to world leaders and their delegations, was not the urgent need to decarbonize the planet, but the preservation of status, wealth and power. No one has been willing to sacrifice anything, except future generations.

#COP26: The new draft final decision text published today is not a plan to solve the climate crisis, it’s an agreement that we’ll all cross our fingers and hope for the best. It’s a polite request that countries maybe, possibly, do more next year. That’s not good enough.
