@PeterDiamandis I am so excited about what I see going on, I want somehow to be a part of it and bring it to those I see every day, low to middle, and some upper income clients
@PeterDiamandis As a nurse practitioner, I am looking to opening my own practice. Completely disgusted with current medical model I have been a cog in for over 20 years. Ready to exit so I can truly help individuals. Where can I go to get help developing my practice?
@ameliaboone@greg_uninspired I have "breathing issues", am an ultra endurance athlete (albeit not world class ๐)and Nurse Practitioner practicing in Internal Med. See a pulmonologist. Workup can be complex. Unfortunately most physicians and NPs amd PAs have no idea how to work up athletes.
@runcandice Making it so so difficult for us, giving one more excuse for people to disregard recommendations at the expense of peoples lives they will never know...but I see everyday at work.
@SheltonJenn But you've gained more perimenopausal women who oogle over precious little babies! Soooooooo cute! Been waiting to see the cutie, congrats!
@alydixon262 Its telling you to try trails!! Joking but not joking. I'm 47, raging against the dying light myself...I have all kinds of problems, but continue to rage. Rage on!
@UltraDain @runcandice In other words we've created a new problem....too much salt intake. Water follows salt. You will swell if you drink beyond thirst or force water. You will swell if you take in too much salt. Sweat tests are a waste. Measuring sweat loss is dumb..science proven dumb.
@runcandice Your body was not meant to get electrolytes dumped into the system. Your fluid/electrolyte balance will dictate cravings in ultras. Trust your kidneys. The caveat is vomiting/diarrhea. That is about the only time you wont be able to keep up after many hours
@runcandice even putting something salty in your mouth, causes your kidneys to adjust fluid output anticipating. An excellent wilderness med doc finally got through to me. "Eat salty foods when u crave salt, eat sweets when u crave sweets and drink water to thirst".
