here are a few questions that have made it really difficult for me to believe in the trinity:
"How are we supposed to come to know a God who is by definition unknowable?"
"If we cannot come to know God as the creeds state how is it that I'm supposed to gain eternal life?"

@MilkToastOnRye well I agree that they aren't equally valid, but that requires the stipulation that ours could be the less than valid one, which begs the question that I've asked. Is your position that we just have to suppose ours is the correct interpretation?

a question for all of my non latter-day saint friends: There seem to be many competing theories about each scripture in Christianity, how do you determine that your opinion on a passage is accurate?

@MilkToastOnRye How can this be from your perspective if we both read a scripture which God communicates perfectly?

@MilkToastOnRye Unfortunately, that's what everyone says, yet we would understand that it's impossible for every person's contradictory reading of the 'perfectly clear' scripture to be valid. I for example think the perfectly clear scripture perfectly requires baptism and rejects the trinity.

@CaraBaker28 @Papa_Ostler 😂😂 Schizophrenic? Have you never spent much time with a child? Every child I know thinks they are batman, or superman, a secret agent, a mom, a dad, a cowboy. Some boys think they are girls as well, and when socially encouraged this lasts until adulthood.

@CaraBaker28 @Papa_Ostler I was wrong and my parents told me that the person who I imagined myself to be isn't who I was. That's both natural and beneficial. I no longer think I'm part of the CIA, in the same way, that a majority of kids that thought they were the other sex now no longer believe it.

@CaraBaker28 @Papa_Ostler again, not true. I am a Christian and my whole life I've been told my natural self is sinful, but that I'm loved. I have no suicidal ideations. In fact, this is a lot more of a natural statement than I think you realize. Like I thought I worked for the CIA when I was a kid...

@CaraBaker28 @Papa_Ostler BTW this extraordinary rate of suicide is not really less in places like California which are more accepting. And these suicide rates were prevalent even in the early gender transition experiments where neither the person nor society knew the native sex. So I disagree with you.

@CaraBaker28 @Papa_Ostler concentration camps. Do you really believe that transgender people are bullied worse than the Nazis bullied the jews? We should note that although social acceptance of trans individuals has increased dramatically in the last few years their rates of suicide are very high
