This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. The MD of Opportunity No. 17 has updated its wildfire alert.

The Evacuation Order remains in effect for the entire of Chipewyan Lake.

Everyone in Chipewyan Lake must stay evacuated. No unauthorized personnel are allowed to return until the Order is lifted.

There is no timeline for re-entry. This will be the final Alberta Emergency Alert, even though the Evacuation Order will remain in effect. Going forward, all future evacuation status information (including when to return home) will be on the MD of Opportunity No. 17’s facebook page.
