Follow up to yesterdays spring sport tweet. The best conditioning for wks 1-2 is no conditioning. The running volume is already overwhelming. Coaches need to stop coaching like it’s 1979. PS-“wind sprints” are not a thing. 2-3 short sprints (10 yd)early in practice is speed work.

Here's the truth
25% will be warriors who show up to work no matter what
50% don't love it but will do what they're asked because they know it's important
25% either won't show up or half-ass it
Refocus your energy on the top 75%
Can't help the bottom 25% who don't want help
People don’t understand the amount of hard times and risks taken to get to where you want to go.

Being a part of a sports team means attending practice daily, not missing workouts, investing in the team daily & leading/supporting leaders. It's what makes the team great and inadvertently grows us as teammates. The same is true for the Church. Attendance and investment matter.
Some interesting data from a top 5 D1 women’s soccer team
