@anishgiri Depends who you're playing though, no? Let's say Magnus is still Champion, I'd say someone would be more likely to win Candidates than win a match against Magnus
The Grand Chess Tour has wrapped up, bringing a month of great chess to a close. But if you’re already missing the action, don’t worry, there’s another big matchup coming soon. ♟️
Garry Kasparov vs. Veselin Topalov
Two legendary players, meeting across the board once again. Kasparov needs little introduction - his impact on chess is hard to overstate, and his competitive intensity is legendary. Topalov is just as exciting to watch, known for his aggressive, creative play and willingness to take risks.
Now they’re set to face each other at Clutch Chess: The Legends 2026 at the Saint Louis Chess Club!

There’s something I really admire about Gudmundur Kjartansson (@GMGudmundur): he honours the old ways of chess.
Win or lose, he is always happy to sit down with his opponent and analyse the game they have just played. To me, that is far more interesting and rewarding than rushing back to your room to analyse it with Stockfish – and you won’t convince me otherwise. 🙂
🇨🇳 Ding Liren on what has changed and his new approach to chess after winning two gold medals at the FIDE World Team Rapid and Blitz Championships:
"I've changed a little. I have more courage now. Sometimes I play for a win even when my opponent offers a draw, and that's something I'm very happy about because opportunities appear."
"In some tournaments before, I didn't have the same desire or enjoyment. But here I started enjoying the game again. Even in some games I lost, I enjoyed the battle itself."
@davidllada@GothamChess 7.7m on his main YouTube channel yes but if you say ‘channels’, plural, then it’s 9m+ adding Gotham Clips and Gotham Games. And then if you add other SM, Instagram adds 2m, TikTok adds 2m and X and FB add 500k each, so now you’re up at over 14m. Can’t be taking inches off bro 😅
WHO WILL WIN NORWAY CHESS? 👀
Standings heading into the final round:

Here are the possible scenarios:
1️⃣ Wesley So wins the tournament if he beats Alireza Firouzja.
2️⃣ Praggnanandhaa wins the tournament if he beats Vincent Keymer and Wesley does not win his game.
3️⃣ Alireza Firouzja wins the tournament if he beats Wesley So and Praggnanandhaa fails to win.
