I'm happy with the trip Danon Bourbon got today. I will say I didn't give Golden Tempo any chance. I tossed all the horses from Louisiana and he was the only one of them that showed up today. Renegade ran a huge one and Further Ado didn't but the BC is at Keeneland so...

We already had one Japanese winner today, let's make it 2 with Danon Bourbon. I think he sits a good trip just off the pace and leads at the top of the stretch. Further Ado has a shot if he's not just a freak at Keeneland. If Renegade gets a clean trip he can also win it. 7-18-1

I think Percy's Bar is a standout in the Kentucky Oaks. She has never run poorly and any improvement drowns this field. (11-9-10)

In the Kentucky Derby I like Danon Bourbon. He looked impressive in his last race, should sit a good trip and can run all day. (7-18-1)

Always a Runner is the real deal. She was the only horse making up ground in the stretch. Percy's Bar was way too far back. I thought she'd be sitting much closer. Pace was not crazy either so no idea what Luan Machado was doing.

In the Derby the rail draw got me off Renegade to win. If he drew middle to outside I think he'd be tough to beat. Further Ado could be a freak or he might just be one at Keeneland. I just think Danon Bourbon gets the best trip of the three.

After the Breeders Cup I was excited to get back to following racing but when I looked at the calendar and saw the next "big" day wasn't until today I was disappointed. The Pegasus card was ok but what's next? Derby Day? Racing needs a BC like event once a quarter not once a year
