This is the reality of terrorism in Nigeria. Terrorists kidnap innocent people and contact their families, demanding that they sell everything they own to pay a ransom. Families sacrifice all they have in hopes of bringing their loved ones home. But when they arrive to reunite with them, they discover a devastating truth—the victims have already been killed.

On May 18, 2026, representatives of Equipping The Persecuted visited Mr. Amos Mai-Zonkwo at a medical facility in Mararaban Kajuru, Kaduna State.
Mr. Mai-Zonkwo was brutally attacked by Fulani Ethnic militia while working on his farm two weeks ago. During the attack, he sustained severe machete injuries to his head, nose, ears, and back.
ETP has continued to support his recovery by taking responsibility for his medical bills and feeding expenses throughout his treatment.
Following the directive of the Executive Director of Equipping The Persecuted, Judd Saul, an additional sum of ₦100,000 was presented to Mr. Mai-Zonkwo on May 18 to further support him during his recovery.
His wife expressed deep appreciation to Judd Saul and ETP for their compassion, support, and commitment to standing with victims of persecution and violence during their time of suffering.
