@EyesShutTeacher I'm 47 and I loved them. My Grandma bought me my first one and I mostly had that Armada paperbacks. In recent years my Mum has been replacing them with original hardbacks or Girls Gone By editions and it turns out the Armada editions were (in some cases) quite heavily abridged.
@catherinerowett @EmilyKerr36 I went to Durham from Devon in the mid 90s & that's exactly what I did. I used my mum's old trunk & sent it to via a courier firm I then travelled to (& from) Durham by train. The longer I was at Durham the more stuff I had to send but that's how I did every journey for 3 years
