@sunyoulisun1@dhduhdhdiii@0xTheo520 He didn't even mean to poke fun at the chinese lol. It was just a offhand comment reacting to dictator memes saying "my favourite one was one with a chinese dictator i think".
@aBei2024@ZondarkAI It was in an informal setting, and it wasn't meant maliciously, dude, and he apologized. Even if he is a celebrity and a higher standard is demanded of him, he didn't know. Again, it is a shame that you people seem to forget his prior support. Ah well, human nature, I suppose.
@leoncitodelfut This is so insane. One offhand comment and they want to ruin him. Already forgetting everything he did prior that showed his support for China. I wouldn't blame him if he just shut himself off from the press going forward.
@InevitableChina@KMbappe Dude even if he was a benevolent or good dictator like Lee Kuan Yew using his power for the people he would still be a dictator.
@wdwdccwzero The word dictator has a negative connotation (rightly so) but not all dictators are considered bad . There exist some examples. In theory a dictator who uses his power only for the wellbeing of the people would be the best.
@zcq01826478@Mauve2_La_Mauve It was not meant maliciously at all from Mbappe. Just offhandedly making a comment. "Dictator" isn't even inherently a pejorative.
@cungcung785@Trystanto2 Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus in 458 BC was appointed and held absolute power to save a trapped Roman army (and voluntarily relinquished his power). Was he a dictator nonetheless? Yes. "Dictator" isn't inherently a pejorative.
