@chris_railway With how football is determined by TV, dates change constantly as do timings. Football dates aren't always known until 4-6 weeks out, which in railway planning terms is no time at all.

@Worstedjumper @djh84 @MathsHomeWorker @lukerobertblack Seeing as we buy thousands of KM of rail from British Steel, I'd say you're talking rubbish. Railhead conditions aren't affected by the location the rail is baught from, they are made to a standard.

We run heavier trains faster and more frequently than we did in the 70s.

@seatsixtyone The new National Rail app is not great, I kind of wish they kept the old one. I knew how to use it and it was much faster. This webpage disguised as an app is really a downgrade

Hi @SouthernRailUK - just to let you know I caught this fare dodger who boarded the 1525 service to London Victoria at #Hastings station. With a little encouragement from me, he got off at #StLeonards Warrior Square. He seemed in a bit of a flap and passengers gave him the bird.

@LLBroadwell I would say it depends on where you are. I'm not sure if me being who I am affects it but I am currently in a place which accepts me for who I am and understands I cannot always do something even if asked for by higher management. How to find those places though is another thing.
