I spoke to McConnell for about 20 minutes this morning.
He said we should end the war with Iran, quit giving aid to Israel, stop spying on Americans without a warrant, and he’s really sorry about how my primary turned out.
This is before we were at constant war. Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Russia/Ukraine, Iran, etc.
You cannot have it both ways: either you destroy the American dream for the donor class war machine, or you celebrate vibrant American families.
In 1991, while campaigning for the Republican presidential nomination, Patrick Buchanan was among the very few willing to openly challenge the disproportionate influence of AIPAC and the Israel lobby over America’s political elite.
He bravely declared “The congress of the United States is Israeli occupied territory.”
By confronting and defying such entrenched institutional power, he was met with a storm of backlash and relentless smears of antisemitism designed to discredit and silence him.
He knew damn well the risks.
Yet Buchanan refused to soften his message. He stood firm, and unapologetically spoke the truth.
America First.
To this day, he’s shown more guts and intellectual honesty on this issue than any elected official in Washington since.
Patrick Buchanan is an American hero.
Is it true that @RepGregoryMeeks and Congressional Black Caucus leaders are whipping votes to help Mike Johnson pass a clean FISA 702 reauthorization?
Anyone who empowers Donald Trump—or any president—to spy on Americans without a warrant is betraying the Constitution and the people they serve.
The Fourth Amendment isn’t optional. Demand a warrant requirement.
Massie vs. "Warm Body"
Donnie campaigned against @repthomasmassie in Kentucky today and introduced us to the literal "anybody" he picked to run against him.
Bro literally says on stage that he wanted "a warm body" to run against him, which just means an empty suit that will do whatever he wants.
This dude's campaign website looks like he ran a Donnie speech through ChatGPT and spit out the most generic slop imaginable.
Today we heard his voice for the first time and we got a few sentences out of the guy.
Literally laughable clownery and the people are smart enough to see it. This dude lost in a state senate race and now he's supposed to replace our best member of Congress. I'm sure this has nothing to do with the files that didn't exist.
I'm pretty sure that the more we see from the warm body, the more we'll see he has nothing to offer but a yes vote in an empty suit.
If Glenn Beck can use an AI George Washington to claim the father of our country would have wanted us to bomb Iran, how about I use THE REAL GEORGE WASHINGTON'S ACTUAL WORDS to figure out what he would have thought about the U.S. relationship with Israel:
A passionate attachment of one nation for another produces a variety of evils. Sympathy for the favorite nation, facilitating the illusion of an imaginary common interest in cases where no real common interest exists, and infusing into one the enmities of the other, betrays the former into a participation in the quarrels and wars of the latter without adequate inducement or justification....
And it gives to ambitious, corrupted, or deluded citizens (who devote themselves to the favorite nation) facility to betray or sacrifice the interests of their own country without odium, sometimes even with popularity; gilding with the appearances of a virtuous sense of obligation a commendable deference for public opinion, or a laudable zeal for public good, the base or foolish compliances of ambition, corruption, or infatuation.
House Kills Resolution To Halt Trump’s War on Iran
A similar effort was defeated in the Senate on Wednesday

The Iran War Powers Resolution narrowly failed, but we put everyone on record.
We’re being told this military action could last months. That’s the exact circumstance in which the Founders intended for Congress to authorize war, but sadly we’ve now abdicated that responsibility.
I am opposed to this War.
This is not “America First.”
When Congress reconvenes, I will work with @RepRoKhanna to force a Congressional vote on war with Iran.
The Constitution requires a vote, and your Representative needs to be on record as opposing or supporting this war.
There are two ways to declare war—one lawful, one unlawful:
Congress votes (lawful), or the president simply attacks (unlawful).
A president’s unilateral acts of war are a declaration of war.
They’re just not a lawful declaration of war under our Constitution.
