@AdamKurkjian MIAA needs to figure it out. Everyone saw what happens when CM plays an elite team. This is like the equivalent of public schools playing the bigger catholics. Typically, you come out of the game beaten and battered.
@newftbj I think having an open division like California and Arizona could solve this. In AZ the top 8 teams make the open division based on a multiplier of a schools rating.
@jcappa89 @patsneed1more @tomalley824@BostonHeraldHS@MIAA033 A possible solution to competitive equity would be to create an open division, similar to what California and Arizona have. Their playoff systems are based on competitive equity and not enrollment size. MIAA could create a "super 8" for football and other sports using a formula.
Contrary to belief, coaches do have favorites. Their favorites are the athletes & players who:
- Arrive early
- Bring a great energy
- Listen & want to learn
- Have a winners attitude
- Are great team players
- Are trustworthy
- Don’t complain
- Do the extra work
- Stay grateful
