Coalition Forces did not participate or strike locations in Iraq. We are monitoring reports of an incident in Jurf Al Sakhar and remain prepared to support our Iraqi partners.
We are aware of reports claiming that the United States conducted airstrikes in Iraq today. Those reports are not true. The United States has not conducted air strikes in Iraq today.
Today I welcomed Prime Minister Sudani to the Pentagon for the first time. The U.S.-Iraq relationship is strong. Our two nations remain committed to working together towards a peaceful and stable region.
Iraq continues to lead the fight against ISIS, working closely with the U.S. and Coalition partners. I'm proud to have been a part of that fight. Today, Prime Minister Sudani and I spoke about our efforts to address the persistent security threats to our two nations. In this context, we acknowledged the meeting of the U.S.-Iraq Higher Military Commission (HMC) Principals Day last week to discuss the transition of the @CJTFOIR mission to enduring bilateral security partnerships between Iraq and the United States and other countries of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS.

Defense of Israel Activities Update
On April 13 and the morning of April 14, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) forces, supported by U.S. European Command destroyers, successfully engaged and destroyed more than 80 one-way attack uncrewed aerial vehicles (OWA UAV) and at least six ballistic missiles intended to strike Israel from Iran and Yemen.
This includes a ballistic missile on its launcher vehicle and seven UAVs destroyed on the ground in Iranian-backed Houthi controlled areas of Yemen prior to their launch.
Iran's continued unprecedented, malign, and reckless behavior endangers regional stability and the safety of U.S. and coalition forces.
CENTCOM remains postured to support Israel’s defense against these dangerous actions by Iran. We will continue to work with all our regional partners to increase regional security.
Yesterday marked the first meeting of the Principals in the Higher Military Commission process. The progress made so far will continue through further meetings of the HMC; enabling the transition of the Coalition forces' mission in Iraq and promoting security and stability.

We also exchanged notes to secure more meaningful support for the Peshmerga.
