@SMB_Attorney@RogerDaSilva1@ADHarbin@RandBusiness Attorneys seem to have large bus dev budgets, but can’t review an LOI quickly to help someone get to a deal and a larger fee negotiating the PA, or future deals. Some attorneys understand the relationship and don’t nickel and dime early so they can have a long term client
@SMB_Attorney@RogerDaSilva1@ADHarbin@RandBusiness Generally I see SPs seeing repeat buyers as more valuable (and more fun). So if they can help get someone in the game, they’ll have a lifelong customer. Likely need to assess if searchers will repeat or refer at a higher rate.
@SMB_Attorney@RogerDaSilva1@ADHarbin@RandBusiness On the front end as a searcher. So limited exposure. It’s a question I’m asking financial SPs.
From a sponsor standpoint, I’m aware of SPs working at risk and/or accepting equity in lieu of fee. Maybe not as their whole business model, but to develop the relationship
@guessworkinvest You were gonna be doing work on a Sunday at your old job, might as well be putting those hours in for you. I’m sure it’ll turn out great!
@bradglittle@SMB_Attorney Yes to both! If you’ve never created an LOI, I’d recommend an attorney. From there, you may be able to use it as a template once you understand it better. You can also hire a buy-side advisor—would be careful on ensuring you’re hiring experience v someone skilled at sell-side.
@guessworkinvest Seems high for the scope of services, which doesn’t sound like they’re actively doing much. My guess is you’re paying the designer, who is paying a host like $30 and they’re up charging for services you could do yourself. Less familiar on SEO pricing.
