I love ChatGPT Work because it feels like Codex, but it’s much easier to use anywhere (browser or phone). It feels more capable and willing to take on long tasks than regular chat. Codex makes my connection practically unusable while it's running whitle work doesn't.

@thsottiaux @OpenAIDevs given there’s no news of a replacement this feels bad. 5.3 is still really good and relevant. but i’m sure a new model is coming tomorow, next tuesday, or next thursday. knowing that is likely, this is probably fine, but not knowing for sure, it feels weird.

We have reset rate limits for all Codex users to compensate for the unusual high latencies in or near the US in the previous hours. Grateful for the team working hard behind the scenes to keep Codex running 24/7.

I do recommend trying out GPT-5.1-Codex-Max too if you haven’t!

I'm actually starting to suspect that the cdoex agent was unexcited about the work or just didn't think it would actually make progress so it just kinda didn't do it. I brought the agent back a well though out idea and with exclamation points it was like, I should get on that!

I keep hitting this weird Codex 5.1 bug where it says it's going to go do something and then I'm like ok go do it and then it's like ok I did the thing and has literally done nothing.

I heard people complain about this in the past with 5.0 and I never did (maybe once), but I've been experiencing it often on 5.1.
