Ukrainians are among the world's best warriors.

Every single day of 2024 has proven this time and time again. Ukrainian soldiers—ordinary people, often from villages and small towns, many in their forties and fifties—hold up the skies on their shoulders, accomplishing the impossible.

They have been fighting for three years in a full-scale, grueling war against the monstrous machine that is Russia, a state that spares neither lives nor its vast resources.

And it does so with the full support of its totalitarian allies, including troops from the North Korean regime.

They fight with so little, with only what Western countries provide, in a brutal, frontal war that seemed unimaginable in Europe in the 2020s.

They fight against all odds, despite the immense shortcomings and absurdities of their own army, and in defiance of the corrupt, loud-mouthed demagogues who are not even worth the soldiers’ little finger.

Where so many would have broken long ago and surrendered to the mercy of the aggressor, Ukrainian warriors, in an almost incomprehensible way, continue to endure the unbearable.

They make the enormous Russian war machine repeatedly slam against an unyielding wall, fighting for villages and towns in the Donbas, even after three years of total war.

Everything you see—the scenes of relative peace, normal life, and even the celebration of Christmas and New Year’s in Ukraine—is the greatest gift given to us by Ukrainian soldiers.

This world belongs to them, and the miracle of the New Year’s chimes in Ukraine happens once again thanks to the Ukrainian soldier.

Without them, this land would have been a torture chamber and a mass grave.

Do not let them down in 2025.
