1/Time to FESS up! Do you understand functional endoscopic sinus surgery (FESS)?
If you read sinus CTs, you better know what the surgeon is doing or you won’t know what you’re doing!
Here’s a thread to make sure you always make the important findings!
“I wish to dedicate this award to the American Indian medical students.. I challenge all physicians of power in academic medicine to consider our near invisibility as a national crisis not to be shouldered by individual students .. through partnerships, anything is possible
The Onodi cell is a posteriormost ethmoid air cell that extends so posterior it lies over the sphenoid sinus, which is a potential hazard if not recognized intraoperatively because they may abut the optic/carotid canals. @RADMAM2 at #ASHNR24
Over four years ago, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Two years later, my mother was diagnosed with the same. We were both treated at @StanfordOHNS. Last week, as part of my 4th-year ENT Sub-Internship, I scrubbed in with the surgeon who saved our lives.
Thank you to @StanfordODME and the SCORE program for giving me this opportunity without the financial burden typically accompanying Away Sub-Internships.
It's been a surreal experience to work alongside the very team who cared for me and my mom. I'm incredibly grateful for everyone here and thankful for the chance to learn and care for patients at Stanford.
🙌🏽 Love our team so much, but really love when we meet up in person! Good luck @EricTPineda on your @StanfordMed#ENT rotation! Whatever program gets you is so lucky! Congrats on everything you’ve accomplished to get here! #PasifikaInMedicine#CHamoru

Here’s what preference signaling in the 2024-2025 residency application cycle will look like.
The biggest change is both IM and Surgery moving to “big signaling” with applicants now receiving 15 signals in each.
MASSIVE news in health disparities research. OMB updated federal standards to 1️⃣ race/ethnicity category adding 1) MENA & 2) Hispanic or Latino.
Big changes ahead in analyzing health data. NHPI have struggled for decades to be recognized, looking forward to seeing the rollout.
