I wrote a short piece on how Canadians should use the language of freedom to fight back against annexation.
TLDR: Why do they want take our freedom away?

I wrote about ChatGPT, and whether colleges with honor codes are having an easier time stemming AI cheating than other institutions. In some cases, the answer seems to be yes, but their success has as much to do with money and resources as it does with integrity or culture. 🧵

One thing I would like to see is a post-mortem on the role of 'nudging' in UK Tory governance.
In the 2010s their was breathless optimism about the idea of nudging. But the government that appeared to embrace it the most ended in catastrophic failure. Why?
Stories like this expose an interesting tension.
Domestically, we constantly hear about how the economy is in tatters and the country faces crippling debt.
Internationally, our partners look at us and see a rich economy with low debt and ask why we don't do more.
Canada has long neglected defence. It will pay a price:
Canada "has failed to hit domestic military spending goals, has fallen short on benchmarks to fund new equipment and has no plans to get there. It’s a stance that has frustrated allies far and wide"
