it’s atrocious how textbooks just take the proof of the Jordan Curve Theorem for granted. it’s never even left as an exercise. do the work authors, grind it out. i don’t pay springer to spew theorem statements at me. if you can’t prove it, don’t use it
6.)the answer here is yes, but not as much as if you were white (2.79 times as likely to be shot if you are armed vs. 3.33 times as likely to be shot if you are armed.)
5.) as an armed white person (actually, the data says your are, even still, more likely to be shot, but by a statistically insignificant amount). finally, there is the interesting question “if you are black, does it even matter if you are armed or unarmed?”..
