I am also puzzled by the gift tax comment. My understanding is that exceeding the annual limit triggers paperwork (IRS Form 709) and a reduction in your lifetime exemption by the amount you exceeded $19,000 (current limit). In other words, your gift & estate tax exemption is reduced from ~$14 million by the amount you exceeded $19,000.

@SkersNews What you describe is the definition of a fan, especially one that has season tickets. At any home game you feel the team is competitive and could win. Fans want hope. Players playing hard for the coach and improving week to week is the goal. Football pays for other sports too.
