Fellow farmers, I need your advice on a contract issue that just happened to me.
I locked in a 5-load CWRS wheat contract with local elevator that had an online special. Spoke with the buyer and he sent me the contract via email, signed the contract, received the confirmation contract was signed and everything looked normal.
15 minutes they call and say “sorry, that price was a mistake — human error on the website. Posted special was supposed to be $7.30 not 7.79 we’re cancelling the contract.”
They’re refusing to honor the signed contract.
My side:
• Price was live on their site
• I accepted during that window
• Contract was emailed, signed by me, countersigned by them
Would appreciate any war stories or outcomes you’ve seen or heard of. DMs open if you don’t want to post publicly.

@CowBizGuy@AltaAgTrends101 Price was fully discussed on the phone call. Not really sure what you mean by trade rules. I read the contract and it’s pretty cut and dry on it being binding
I phoned the elevator they said “oh yah that is a good special I send you the contract” I got it signed it sent it all back. Got the email confirmation your contract has been signed. 10-15 mins later I get a call saying they are canceling the contract because of human error in their end
