@JT_Johnst19 @MaggieMaslowski I like to take my students outside when the weather is nice. At the end of this school year my students did a paper airplane challenge and the fact that we were outside made all the difference!
@KrisConway17@kknigge70 I also like to incorporate art as much as I can in my classroom but I only grade that math because some students are not artists, just like myself. I still encourage them to try!
A ban on mobile phone use in Victorian public schools aimed at curbing distraction and cyberbullying has divided opinion among teachers and students.

Phones must be kept in school lockers from first bell to last bell unless a child needs to keep a phone for medical reasons or if there is a specific instruction from the teacher that the phones are needed for a classroom activity. https://t.co/GXPJOKDWNV
I love this @TeachingChannel strategy for grading. I keep meaning to use it more often! Ss were engaged and interested in exploring their mistakes instead of demanding "how come I lost a point on question 2?" #MTBoS#innovativemps https://t.co/kIoQexJTJt
My school district participates in the Hour of Code each year. This year we gave the students 5 options of what to code and produce during this time in our classrooms. The kids had so much fun making their creations!
We use Desmos all the time in math class for reinforcement and extension work. Students enjoy playing the competition games. They also like seeing other student responses!

Students in 8th grade took a field trip to the Illinois Holocaust Museum after studying this time in Social Studies. They have a hologram feature that allows Holocaust survivors to tell stories via this hologram feature and answer student questions.
