I upped the rigor on the @openupresources #7thgrade lesson on simulating multi-step experiments by having the groups who chose to use a spinner create their own (including calculating the correct angles to draw) instead of giving them the template. They rose to the challenge!

My day always starts with 4 sticky notes. By 3:15, all of them must be passed out with a special message of appreciation or encouragement to 4 of my kids. The goal? Show each student they’re noticed and valued. Thanks for the inspiration @thomascmurray #SEL #relationshipbuilding

Freed me up to manage the chaos better, gave me a lasting record of how many problems each group completed and how they performed and I didn't have to worry about keeping score. I assigned different questions different point values too, depending on difficulty.
