Maybe what it’s actually time to do, in the battle of good against evil, is dismantle the Rage Economy — the one where we pay greedy but unimpressive people to keep us in a perpetual state of anger they pretend is righteous but really just lines their own pockets.
@The_Professor5@iowahstennis Building players and programs is hard enough in non-tennis areas, but starting after dead week and finishing the regular season in the 3rd week of school makes it almost impossible. Very frustrated the majority of the season happens before school. Numbers down for so many schools
I basically like my life, but I also feel that living in the world right now - I mean, especially right now, but really all the time - requires a level of radical compartmentalization that gives me the constant low-level burning sensation of going insane. Anyone else feel this??
I do think it's insane DOGE ultimately cut, nearly exclusively, the government's cheap, inredibly high ROI projects (foreign aid, NSF, CDC, etc.) while leaving literally everything that actually costs money untouched.
