We waited 6 months for our VAT ID too.
Founding took even longer overall because the bank misspelled the company name three times which
means we had to reschedule the notary.
Update on founding a company in Germany:
The VAT ID arrived. 203 days after I started, almost €12k later.
Then my tax firm asked for my trade registration. First time anyone mentioned it. Legally due the day I started.
Filed it 3 weeks ago. Still waiting. Probably gonna get fined 1000€ for doing business before it.

to build a cool product now, you really only need two ppl:
one dude with exceptional vision & taste who knows what should exist & can provide the right feedback loops for iteration.
& one dude who is absolutely relentless about making it real no matter what.
that’s it. & sometimes these two are the same.
Das wäre jetzt natürlich etwas schade, wenn die Zeiten, in denen wir den Sprit für 2,25€ quasi geschenkt bekommen haben, leider schon wieder vorbei wären.

So I wrote my own Rust library (ferrocad) for that until found cadquerry in Python.
> be Meta

> this time from a residential building using home internet
> turns out the guy in that home is a Meta executive at their Reality Labs division
> Reality Labs division = the team making Quest VR headsets
> my guy be doing anything to bring us “the experience” in VR
In Germany, 5.7TB of data was hacked in the capital Berlin and is now freely available on the dark web. Highly sensitive data, classified information, even in the event of a disaster. The absolute worst case scenario.
The absurd part is that "security experts" currently view the risk as moderate, because criminals would first have to sift through all the data if they wanted to cause harm. You couldn't make this stuff up. They never heared of AI.
