@DavidSacks But how do you propose to guarantee all deposits, forever? You're just discouraging people from depositing wisely and/or banks operating prudently. A deposit is a loan to the bank, plain and simple. Guarantees confuse that fact.

@KyleBumpus @RichardHanania Id say so. Their balance sheet was pretty simple: long term debt funded by cash deposits. Its not like rates just suddenly moved against them. They’ve clearly just been sitting on their liabilities for a year hoping their deposits didnt disappear.
