85% of the world’s poorest live in the countries suffering most from climate change. If we don’t act, 140 million climate refugees will exist by 2050. This was the focus of our 1st OECD DAC meeting of a new initiative on poverty and inequalities.

1/2 Support for refugees represent about 12% of total annual ODA. However, 3 donor countries provide 2/3 of this aid, which is highly concentrated in the Middle East. We need a global approach to support refugee-hosting countries with long-term support for SDGs and climate goals.
