@ErinDrouin2 Awesome! You should absolutely apply. The deadline for Round #1 is October 27. You can see the full grant timeline here: https://t.co/rwY4ZxSqmX #ClassroomGrantChat

What are the requirements for applying for a grant? #ClassroomGrantChat

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

Hi, I'm a 2nd grade reading & phonics teacher at a Title 1 school in Maine. Are there specific timeframes to apply for a grant? #ClassroomGrantChat

A5: When following the right people, social media can inspire my teaching and push me to try new things. It helps me stay current #edtech207

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@jennygr4 @RCassmaine Yes! I used that when posting on Seesaw when the kids were home last year. Super useful!

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@jennygr4 @RCassmaine Same as ours. We have to approve YouTube videos for students to watch.

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@RCassmaine That was also my question. Especially having students under 13 years old.

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@marcaureled Good to know! It has been so hard for me to find active ones!

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@marcaureled I'm noticing that a lot now too and it is a turn-off. Especially on Instagram

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@jennygr4 A3: Another page I follow on Facebook is Lucky 2nd Grade Teachers. Lots of inspiration from around the world #edtech207

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@jennygr4 I follow a lot of teachers on Instagram. One that I love is DiverseReads. She recommends new diverse books. I love adding to my library #edtech207

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@marcaureled Yes! Love that idea. I also want to have parents be "guest readers" since they aren't allowed in the classroom this year #edtech207

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@marcaureled Same!!!

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@jennygr4 A2: I don’t use any social media with my students as they're under 13y/o. I use Bloomz to communicate with parents. I’d like to try out the portfolio feature with my students #edtech207

[Erin Drouin @ErinDrouin2]

@jennygr4 A1: Hi everyone, I'm Erin Drouin. This is my first Twitter Chat so I hope I'm doing it right! #edtech207 I teach 2nd grade reading and phonics!
