Science and health journalists need to learn how to report on misinformation. I think institutions also need to come up with plans for misinformation. Because of COVID, we know that misinformation is going to happen to new and different topics. We need to prepare. #sciwri22

The difference btw disinformation and misinformation is intent: Disinformation refers to intentionally created false or misleading info, whereas misinformation happens when people share disinformation but don’t realize it’s inaccurate or misleading. #SciWri22 #ReportingFakeSci
